| Proposal | Application to carry out works to two trees within Group Three of Gosberton Tree Preservation Order No 1 1957.
1. Beech in the front garden of 12 Bowgate on the western boundary.
The tree has been damaged and reduced in height in the past and the weight of its branches are on the western side of the tree; they grow over the garden.
Reduce branches on the western side of the tree by no more than 30% to help to balance the tree.
2. Horse chestnut in the front garden of 14 Bowgate on the eastern boundary. A small branch in the upper crown of the tree has what appears from ground level to be a longitudinal split in it. Depending on the depth of the crack whether it is just bark depth or actually extending into the wood of the branch, the branch to be reduced in weight, or removed completely. |
