| Proposal | Application to carry out works on pine trees on the frontage of 24 Fen Road, Holbeach. The trees are within Group Three of Holbeach Tree Preservation Order No. 9 1983 and are identified on the application as 1,2,3. The southern most tree being 1,the others following in numerical order as one proceeds northwards.
Tree 1.
Reduce selective branches by one third to preserve them from breaking if we have a lot of snow and to tidy and balance the tree.
Tree 2.
Has two large branches overhanging the road. These branches are of a disproportionate size to the tree and could be dangerous to the public in high winds or in snowy conditions should they break.
It is suggested that the branches that overhang the road are trimmed back by 50% to take off weight and balance the tree.
Tree 3.
Has a broken branch that needs removing.
