| Proposal | Notification of works to reduce a lime tree in Cinder Ash Park, Long Sutton, the tree is located adjacent to the northern most corner of the Bowling Green.
The tree contains a large water filled cavity in the trunk at about four metres from ground level. It is considered that this cavity will reduce the strength of the trunk of the tree. The tree is in an area of high pedestrian use and could be considered a danger; it is therefore proposed to reduce the crown of the tree by up to 50%, which will still retain a tree of some amenity value, but it will have less weight above the cavity. |
