| Proposal | Application to carry out works to a cedar identified as T1 of Long Sutton Tree Preservation Order No. 13 1989; located in the front garden of 44a Gedney Road, Long Sutton adjacent to the western boundary.
a) Remove 'piggy back branches',branches which rest on lower ones, to reduce overall canopy.
b) Reduce lower branches by approximately two metres all round.
c) Shorten higher branches to keep the shape correct. Is wider at bottom than top, so reduction needs to be incremental to retain shape.
The works are to reduce overhang on to the neighbours property and also to stop further branches breaking due to snow. |
