| Proposal | Application to carry out works to trees within the grounds of 6 Haverfield Road, Spalding. The majority are subject to Spalding Tree Preservation Order No 40 1990, the trees are also within Spalding Conservation Area.
1.Remove dead conifer on the western side of the entrance driveway, which is not the subject of a Tree Preservation Order.
2. Seven large cedar trees which are the subject of a Tree Preservation Order. Selectively trim back mainly the low branches to give clearance over boundary fencing, to prevent them touching the adjacent dwellings, taking care not to unbalance their canopies.
(Care must be taken to prune the trees to give a 'feathered' canopy edge and not just a stark branch line which corresponds with the fence. Where possible achieve this by selectively removing small branches,to thin out, reduce back and lighten the weight of the main branches; but leave some growth present, rather than by the cutting back of large branches just to clear the fence.)
3. Two large cedar trees (subject of a Tree Preservation Order) selectively trim to give clearance from the house and garage up to a maximum of 2-3 metres, where required.
4. Carry out minor crown raising of two cedar trees (subject of Tree Preservation Order)and two other conifers (not subject to Tree Preservation Order), over driveway. |
