Proposal | Works to a holm oak identified as T1 of Surfleet Tree Preservation Order No. 9 1994, located in the grounds of the Mermaid Public House, close to the boundary with the newly built property known as 6 Stockhouse Lane.
The tree is a multi-stemmed specimen and appears in good health; although its canopy is 'out of shape'and could be balanced, and one stem is cracked at the base.
Works proposed:
1.Damaged stem reduce by approximately 5 metres to lighten load and prevent further damage (this stem lays at approximately 45 degrees).
2.Remove broken branches and three pegs from previous reduction.
3.Trim back from neighbouring property, house and garage by no more than 3 metres.
4.Re-shape out of balance crown by a reduction of no more than 2 metres (some parts only 1 metre). |
