| Proposal | Application regarding three oak trees which grow within Tydd Saint Mary Conservation Area and are within Area One of Tydd St Mary Tree Preservation Order No. 2 1978. Please see the plan attached to the decision notice. Tree 1 and Tree 2 are in the rear garden of Mulberry Lodge, Tree 3 is on the boundary between Mulberry Lodge and Bottom Field (the sports field).
Tree 1, English Oak infected by Ganoderma adspersum, fell. PERMISSION HAS ALREADY BEEN GRANTED TO FELL THIS TREE UNDER APPLICATION REFERENCE NUMBER H21-0792-14.
Tree 2, Turkey oak. Crown lift to 15 feet (4.572 metres), crown thin by no more than 20%.
Tree 3, English oak, sever ivy at ground level and retain as a pollard at 6 metres (above lower small branches), or fell. A survey carried out by an Arboricultural Consultant stated 'The tree is in poor condition: there is a major basal cavity and decay'. |
