| Proposal | Works to trees in the grounds of Mulberry Lodge, Rectory Road, which are within Tydd St Mary Conservation Area. This decision notice covers all trees not subject to the arboricultural report by Ms.S.Bright dated 10th September 2014.
Some of the trees are subject to Tydd Saint Mary Tree Preservation Order No. 2 1978, some would not have existed when the Order was served. All of the trees are subject to Conservation Area restrictions.

Ash,Tree No.4 (Not subject to Tree Preservation Order).
Remove and replace with a Victoria plum.
Sycamore,Tree No.5 (Not subject to Tree Preservation Order).
Remove and replace with a cherry.
Bullace, Tree No.6 (Subject to Tree Preservation Order).
Crown lift by no more than 15 feet (4.572 metres). Thin/reduce crown by no more than 30% in total.
Yews and Leylandii,(Yews subject to Tree Preservation Order, Leylandii cypress, unlikely to be subject to the Tree Preservation Order) shaded green on the plan. Bordering the western boundary of the grounds of Mulberry Lodge. The yews are adjacent to the southern part of the boundary which reaches the road frontage, the leylandii cypress to the northern or rear part of the boundary. The trees actually grow in the grounds of the Old Rectory. Reduce the height of the yew and Leylandii cypress trees which almost form a hedgeline to no lower than 15 feet (4.572 metres) in height from the ground, and balance as required.
Portuguese laurels, Trees Nos.7 and 8. Prune to give 1.5 metres clearance from an over head cable and balance. Total crown reduction/thinning by no more than 30% overall.
Irish yew, Tree No.9 (Subject to Tree Preservation Order).Reduce to no lower than five metres.
Mulberry Tree No.10, Prune back branch from overhanging the neighbours to give clearance to oak tree by no more than 3.0 metres. |
